Derrick has been in the electrical industry since the age of 15, learning the trade hands-on alongside his father. That early foundation built more than just skill - it built a standard.
With years of field experience and a passion for doing things the right way, derrick founded Quality Service & Improvements, LLC in 2022 to create a company rooted in integrity, precision, and exceptional service.
He’s involved in every project, big or small, ensuring the work meets the standard his name is built on.

Quality Service & Improvements, LLC was built on a simple idea - do the job the right way, every time.
Derrick’s introduction to the electrical trade didn’t start in a classroom or on a job application. It started at 15 years old, working hands-on alongside his father. Those early years weren’t just about learning how to wire a house - they were about understanding the value of hard work, attention to detail, and doing things with pride.
Over time, that experience turned into a career. But like many in the industry, Derrick saw the same problems come up again and again - rushed work, poor communication, and a lack of accountability once the job was “done.” Homeowners and contractors were left chasing answers, and the quality didn’t always reflect the price.
In 2022, he decided to change that.
QSI was founded to raise the standard - bringing together a team that takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and treats every project like it matters. Whether it’s a full electrical build-out, a service upgrade, or a custom lighting installation, the focus stays the same: clean work, done right, with no shortcuts.
Today, QSI works across residential and commercial projects, with a strong focus on high-end and custom lighting installations.
